Raw Young Coconut Meat Bacon

This is a very simple recipe but requires a dehydrator.

Young Coconut Meat Bacon:
  • 1 young coconut
  • 1 tbsp Nama Shoyu/Tamari
  1.  Drink the coconut water!
  2. Scoop out the coconut meat with a spoon.
  3. Cut away the brown bits on the meat as they are parts of the hard shell.
  4. Cut the meat into pieces of your choosing.
  5. Brush each piece front and back with a little bit of the nama shoyu until covered; you don't want a lot as it can get salty when dried.
  6. Place in a dehydrator for 12 hours, flipping halfway, or until it is as dry as you would like. I personally eat it after 2-3 hours of dehydrating, it is soooooo good!
