My name is Kristina. I am a regular person like everyone
else and would like for it to stay that way. In America it’s not so hard being
different but still being accepted as a person like everyone else. I’m sure
this is the way it is in other countries but I personally have seen and to this
day still see inequality in terms of
a person’s lifestyle in other countries
(and in America of course). But I am a
regular person. I went to high school and I finished college in Computer
Science of all subjects. It’s time people accept others is all I am saying.
How am I different? I eat raw food. Mostly vegan (I have
honey sometimes but rarely lately) and I do it not just for my health but for
my personal ethical beliefs. I don’t judge others who do not follow my
lifestyle or my moral beliefs. In fact, I think people who eat meat are fine,
normal people who I respect and befriend. All I want for people to do is be conscious
about their decisions and what repercussions they have. For me when I relapsed
into years of meat eating again, I could not handle the mental stress of knowing
that I am eating animals that I truly love. I love cows and chickens and pigs;
I can’t explain it but I feel pain in my heart when eating meat. So those years
I was not eating meat, I tried to eliminate those thoughts from my consciousness
and therefore became a non-conscious eater. My message is for people to be conscious
in their decisions and whatever they decide to do is their choice and I respect
that. The second thing that I am interested in doing is promoting a lifestyle
to heal disease and ailments others have.
I am not an argumentative person. I will not go into debates
on what is right or wrong but I am here to help and inform others about
alternative diet and lifestyle. Besides, everyone is different and we should
all respect that.
My favorite food is kale salad by far. I can’t think of
anything that comes even close to it. I make delicious recipes all the time
that I love very much but kale salad is the best thing ever.
Right now, I am following a low fruit, low sugar diet
suggested by Gabriel Cousens in his book Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine to
heal my body of fungal infections and combat my sugar cravings. Gradually, I
will reintroduce sugary fruits and root vegetables but will keep it at a
minimum. I don’t believe everyone feels best on this low sugar diet so do not
follow this even though in your heart you feel you are not thriving. I think I
am a minority that can’t handle sugar very well even on a low fat diet. I’m
sure though that there are lots of people like me who tried the low fat raw
diet and felt horrible and quit raw food altogether. I believe raw food is the
best for me but I have to intake lots of greens and nuts and seeds and a little
fruit.
My typical day changes a lot but I usually have 2 big meals
a day and some snacks in between. I have been having kale salad almost every
day lately and usually make an interesting raw entrée and dessert every day. I
also love to draw in colored pencils and spend time with my family.
I can speak Russian and will make more material in Russian
as well to hopefully draw in a multicultural audience. I know people living in
Eastern European countries do not have as much variety or quality in grocery
stores so I will base some recipes around the foods sold and grown there. For example,
you won’t find cashews macadamia nuts, or coconut products in those countries
except in big cities in health food stores (and spend quite a lot of money too).
I am also working on a recipe book that will feature no
sugar or fruit raw vegan entrees that I have made and loved. I looked around
for similar cookbooks and most still include things like bananas and honey
which are NOT low sugar/low carb foods!
I would love to get to know more people who enjoy this
lifestyle and we can all hopefully make the world a better place.
